The MediaTek MT2739 is significant as the first 5G-Advanced cellular modem for vehicles, with support for 3GPP Release-17 now, and ready for Release-18 once released, as well as integrating satellite communication technologies. This chipset provides greater throughput, lower power consumption, and better coverage (cell edge) than previous generations.
