Filogic 850
Cost-effective, mainstream dual-band Wi-Fi 7 platform that provides a reliably fast and low-latency user experience.

MediaTek Filogic Family
MediaTek Filogic 850
With flexible CPU and NIC pairing, this highly cost-effective Wi-Fi 7 AP chipset solution is ideal for GPON, 5G CPE, routers, repeaters, gateways, access points, and other Wi-Fi-enabled networking devices.
The Filogic 850 platform delivers up to BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 performance with a 3x3+2x2 antenna design and dual-band connectivity. By integrating a best-in-class single-chip MLO design, a dedicated Network Processing Unit (NPU), and comprehensive Wi-Fi 7 features, it provides users with more reliable connections and more efficient bandwidth—even in challenging wireless environments.
Supports All Wi-Fi 7 Features for Wi-Fi Alliance Certification
The Filogic 850 incorporates advanced connectivity technologies such as 4096-QAM, single MAC MLO, multi-RU, OFDMA RU (4+8), MU-MIMO (2+2), MBSSID (16+16), and FIPS 140-3 grade security.
The antenna design supports 3x3 antenna with 2 Spatial Streams (2SS) on the 5GHz band, with a maximum 160MHz bandwidth, and 2x2 with 2 Spatial Streams (2SS) on the 2.4GHz band with maximum 40MHz bandwidth.
With an integrated iFEM (PA and LNA) inside the MediaTek RFIC for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, it reduces platform size, improves energy efficiency, and offers design and cost benefits for device makers.
Key Features
MediaTek’s Single-chip MAC MLO (Multi-Link Operation) design is a unique architecture that enables optimal performance in Wi-Fi 7 networks. This technology reduces latency by up to 100x compared to competing Wi-Fi 7 solutions. Multi-link aggregation on a single chip ensures the fastest, smoothest, and most efficient band-switching performance.
The Filogic 850 SoC includes a 2GHz quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor, along with extensive built-in security features such as Secure Boot, Arm TrustZone, and a cryptography engine (EIP-197) for IPv4 NATP, IPv6, DS-Lite, and 6RD acceleration. The integrated network processing unit (NPU) supports 800Kpps Tx/Rx Wi-Fi offloading, up to 7.5Gbps packet processing, and hardware acceleration for PPPoE, VLAN, MAP-E, and DS-Lite.
The NPU operates across both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, ensuring full-speed performance even when transferring data between wireless and wired connections. With the NPU handling networking tasks, the CPU is freed up, allowing device makers to extend functionality through OS, app, and service customization.
Support for 2x2.5G Ethernet (via HSGMII) and a built-in 1GbE PHY offers a diverse range of wired connectivity options for device designers. Internal connectivity includes multiple PCI Express 3.0 lanes, USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps), as well as SPI, I2C, UART, and GPIO, providing rich platform customization opportunities. PCM and I2S are available for VoIP and similar audio services.
